Sex Toys - Vibrator Options

Sex toys are most enjoyable when used with a lubricant. [click to learn which lubricants work best for different toys and situations]

Wand Vibrators

These vibrators are designed as body massagers with a long handle and they are beautifully made. Therefore, not only can you enjoy them as a sexual toy, but they are also perfect for tired muscles.

Wand Vibrators have circular heads, which are best used for external genital stimulation. However, you can buy a variety of attachments that fit over the head for vaginal or anal entry. Again, the Hitachi Magic Wand is the most famous and the most popular vibrator in this category.

Battery Operated Vibrators

Battery operated vibrator sex toys are smaller and more portable than the plug-in type wands. They come in many different sizes, shapes, colors and textured shafts. They are not as powerful as the wands, but the larger the batteries used in the vibrator, the more intense the motion. Therefore, vibrators requiring “C” batteries will have more powerful action than vibrators using "AA" batteries.

Classic Vibrators

These “cylinder” vibrator sex toys come in various lengths. They are made of plastic and can be a bit noisy. They look like a small rocket ship, and they can really help you take off! Examples: Pearlessence Wand, Magic Power Vibe.

Realistic & Jelly Vibrators

Jelly vibrators are made to look like a penis, and are made out of a wide variety of more flexible, or life-like materials. Some have veins or ribbing for a more natural feel.

Sex Toys made of skin-like Cyberskin are among our favorites adult toys. The Private Members Vibrating Cyberskin Cock is a good example of a realistic look and feel. Or use the Cyberskin Transformers 3" Sleeve, which fits over your classic vibe to create a more realistic sensation.

Flexible jelly vibrator sex toys also offer a more skin-like feel than classic vibrators. Check out the Slimline Jazzy Vibrator. It's Waterproof!

Waterproof Vibrators

Waterproof vibrators have become increasingly popular. Who doesn’t love playing in the bath, at the beach or in the Jacuzzi. Now you can bring your water-friendly vibe along, and have MUCH more fun! Many shapes and materials are available. Try the Waterproof Amethyst Jewel 7”, Water Toys Multi-Speed, or the Waterproof Rabbit for multi-stimulation vibe.

G-Spot Vibrators

Difficult to reach and mysterious, the G-Spot can now be accessed by a woman with specially curved vibrators. These sex toy vibrator offer a curved tip with a long shaft, so that, once inserted, a woman can reach the G-Spot on the upper wall in her vagina.

Vibrators made of hard material are best because they don’t bend when inserted in the vagina. Examples: Celebrity Slimline G 7.5”, G-Spot Fantasy Massager 6.5”, and the Waterproof G-Spot Skinny Mini 4” Vibrator.

Multi-Stimulation Vibrators

With their unique properties, these vibrators are becoming very popular. The long, phallic, vibrating shafts penetrate the vagina, while simultaneously a clitoral stimulator acts independently, with separate controls. Additionally, some of these vibrator shafts have beads ('pearls') that twist and rotate for additional stimulation of the vaginal lips and the g-spot. The protruding, independent clitoral stimulators usually look like animals: rabbit, beaver, bear, or kangaroo.

The Japanese vibrators are pricey, but the quality is outstanding. Check out these multi-stimulators: Japanese Rabbit Habit Vibrator, Japanese Beaver Vibrator, Japanese Rabbit Pearl Vibrator.

Bullet (Egg) Vibrators

The unique shape of bullets/egg vibrators make them very versatile. They typically measure only 1 inch by 3 inches, and they’re attached by a small cord to a control unit/battery pack. Made of hard plastic, you can use them externally, insert them into the vagina or into the anus (best to use a condom when using them anally). They allow for more than 1 intensity level and some offer varying types of vibration (pulsating, surging, escalating, and roller coaster).

Some bullet vibrators come with sleeves for the bullet that give a more sensuous feel, like the Evibe Love Bullet, which comes with the real-skin feel of a Cyberskin Sleeve.

Strap-On/Clitoral Vibrator Sex Toys

With their straps that fit like underwear, these vibrators fit over the clitoris and hold it in place providing hands-free fun. They can even comfortably be used while having intercourse. They are basically a bullet, with a jelly cover. The most popular versions: Venus Butterfly, real-feel Cyberskin Clit Climaxer Passion Flower and the Micro Climaxer Butterfly.

Remote Control Sex Toys

What will they think of next? The remote control vibrators can satisfy your kinkier side. These vibrators are fitted into panties without any wires, just press the remote for instant pleasure. Let your lover take charge of the remote and enjoy surprises all night long, when you’re out on the town. You’ll love it! One caution: like most vibrators, if used over an extended period of time, it tends to heat up, so be careful. The Remote Control Butterfly is great for clitoral stimulation and the Remote Control Black Panty offers an all around good time.

Now all you need is to choose a vibrator, turn it on and say “Pleasure Me Now.” Enjoy yourself!

Lubrication to be Used with Sex Toys

Why use lubricants, and how is choosing the best kind important for your pleasure?

Lubricants can enhance sex between partners, when using sex toys or by yourself. When making love to a partner lubricants can add to the erotic feel of the experience. Some women's vaginas don't self-lubricate enough, and these women can find intercourse extremely uncomfortable. Lubrication is often the answer.

When using a sex toys inserted into the vagina or anus, most people find the experience much more enjoyable when using a lubricant. Lubrication makes toys glide sensually in, out and about. However, be sure to choose a lube that doesn’t damage you or your erotic toys.

There are four types of lubricants: Water-based, petroleum-based, those made from natural oils, and silicone-based. Each has its advantages and disadvantages.

Water-based Lubes

These are the most versatile, safe and popular lubricants for all situations. Typically made of de-ionized water, glycerin, and propylene glycol, they are safe to use with condoms, all forms of barrier birth control and most sex toys. It is rare that water-based lubricants cause irritation, and they don’t stain clothing. They are safe to ingest, and they come in both flavored and unflavored varieties. They tend to dry out over extended periods, but a little water or saliva will get you slick again.

Petroleum-based lubes

These include KY Jelly, Vaseline products, mineral oil products and baby oil. Unfortunately, these products all destroy latex, so they cannot be used with condoms, cervical caps, diaphragms or most sex toys. In addition, they can inflame and irritate the vagina. They also stain clothing. Petroleum-based lubes do tend to last well, so they are often used by men during masturbation.

Natural oil-based lubes

These are derived from natural oil sources such as nuts or vegetables. Like petroleum-based lubes, they too destroy latex (condoms, diaphragms, cervical caps and many sex toys) and stain clothing. However, they do have one key advantage over petroleum-based lubes: they don’t cause vaginal irritation. This makes them excellent for female [and male] masturbation, as well as unprotected vaginal.

Silicone-based lubes

These have the benefits of water-based lubricants with the addition of being waterproof, so they may be used in the bath, or the jacuzzi, or... In addition, they tend to lubricate longer than water-based lubes. Silicone will not hurt latex, so they’re safe with condoms and other forms of barrier birth control and sex toys; however, they can affect adult toys made from silicone.
